Vril Dox was smarter than this. He knew Lobo's tendencies and would have anticipated such actions.

Yeah, but almost every story under the Lobo title is a parody to some extent--especially the miniseries. Cartoon logic applies, and intelligence and most other virtues hinder more than they help.


(Giffen was writing this and L.E.G.I.O.N. simultaneously, so the inconsistency is very deliberate. He had Lobo wrapped around Dox's little finger in the mainstream DCU.)
