I seem to recall another Jason comic that was posted here, that dealt with the issues of abuse in a much better way.

Annnnnd it took me all of two clicks to find the comic I was looking for.

Who is this comic for? Fans of slasher stuff just want people to be cut up, they don't care about actual heavy themes. People who can relate to the themes of abuse probably don't want the victim of the abuse to be portrayed as a "bitches be crazy" unsympathetic basket case who gets messily killed off.

Well for the former at least there are fans of slashers who appreciate heavier stuff. Avatar did generic slashers for their Jason comics and they got old fast.
