I don't even think it's supposed to be offensive, just trying to make fun of this old type of comics and be a sort of affectionate parody.
This is unfunny, but in that "this doesn't produce any reaction in me" sense, rather than being disruptive in any way. This is the kind of story that, if not for the "Frank Miller" name, would fall into complete obscurity.
Though you could argue that is a worse flaw than being offensive.
Indeed. This has all the offensiveness of some dipshit who makes racist comments on Twitter and then goes "LOL U Triggered?"
And well... no. I'm really not, I'm just deeply embarrassed for you. What went so wrong in your life you have to do this sort of thing to get validation?
I feel like the general idea with the aliens interacting with the dumb action hero was done a lot better in the Republican Space Rangers bit from GTA4.
Founded by girl geeks and members of the slash fandom, scans_daily strives to provide an atmosphere which is LGBTQ-friendly, anti-racist, anti-ableist, woman-friendly and otherwise discrimination and harassment free.
Bottom line: If slash, feminism or anti-oppressive practice makes you react negatively, scans_daily is probably not for you.

Date: 2018-07-14 11:40 pm (UTC)(I'll always love Dille's anecdote about the animated Transformers movie: " At one point, when we were re-working the end, we were in the conference room at Sunbow. [Steve] Gerber was there. He had a friend coming over -- a comics guy from New York with long hair who looked kind of like John Lennon. He was working on a Batman book. He helped us with the TRANSFORMERS ending; we helped him with the Batman ending. He was, of course, Frank Miller and the Batman book was DARK KNIGHT. ")
