Also, I think Speed Weasel now has some strong competition for the best fusion to come out of this...event? Crossover? This... thing yeah lets call it a thing for now.

Wait... a Marvel event that doesn't disrupt the regular books and is super fun?

The main series (Infinity Countdown then Wars) replaced the regular Captain Marvel and Guardians of the Galaxy ongoings, and there had been some tie-in issues here and there (I think, for example in Doctor Strange). But compared to its size the whole thing is remarkably self-contained.

I don't think anybody will remember their "warp" time after everything is said and done.

These are tie-ins to the big main event, which is confusing, and started off as a Guardians story but then got turned into an event. There was Infinity Countdown, Infinity Wars and now Infinity Warps, but no idea if this whole thing will have any long-lasting consequences.

Judging by the latest Infinity Wars, it looks like the fused world may continue to exist alongside the main universe.

The tie-ins are better than the actual event (which focuses very little on the fused characters aside from their introduction).

I will say, I did like the Wolverine/Emma fusion who had to stab people to read their minds.

When are the Tie-Ins NOT better than the event?

Civil War: Front Line was pretty awful.

There are almost always bad tie-ins but the good ones tend to be better than the event itself.

Granted CW is a case where a lot of the better tie-ins had to be devoted to damage control (not talking about Wolverine) in explaining plot holes and out of character behavior.

I'm thinking more along the lines of the Hercules story in Secret Invasion where a bunch of Earth's gods respond to a Skrull holy war by going to war against the Skrull gods. That's way more epic than anything in the main SI book.
