It's a shame we can't have a book that's just Rachel, Hope, old Jean, teen Jean, and Maddie, Pryor from before she went evil.

I'd suggest a book that was nothing but the Summers-Grey family soap opera but it would be a little crowded. Old Scott, teen Scott, Alex, Lorna, old Jean, teen Jean, Rachel, old Cable, teen Cable, Stryfe, Hope, Maddie, Corsair, Nate, Emma, Ruby Summers...

And before you say it, no, I'm not throwing in Janet van Dyne and the daughter she had with Alex because then you'd have to drag in the whole extended Pym line. (Hank, Jan, Nadia, Ultron, Vision, Wanda, Magneto, Quicksilver, Simon, Eric, Viv, Jim Hammond, Victor...)

Wow, between those two family trees, you really do account for a huge portion of the Marvel Universe.

I know Lorna isn't married to Alex (not for lack of trying) but you figure she's in the mix anyway just by virtue of being Magneto's daughter and probably a technicality of some sort...

Well on the good side, its great to see Jean interacting with her family. Thats beeen overdue for twenty years or so.

On the other hand, this ain't Jean. Its nothing like Jean. Its the myth of Jean that built up while she was gone, incarnated.

On the gripping hand, it kind of crrep me out to see Jean talking about Cable as her son. Yes I know she raised him in the cyclops and phoenix thing, but he was Maddys son, and she stole all her memories about it. Sort of a super upgraded snatching.

Jean is still Nathan's stepmother. Marvel's treatment of Maddie is awful, but Jean has been a huge part of Cable's life even if she wasn't one of the parents who conceived him.
