A question: In the previous post, people were talking about how the writer's trying but failing to paint Lisa as the bad guy in the relationship. I have to ask, what are you basing that on? I'm only reading the scans, but based off them Lisa comes off as fairly sympathetic and, moreover, deliberately so.
I don't think they were. What I saw were people talking about how the writer was trying to make America, if not THE victim then A victim. Except this isn't two people falling apart due to their differences or conflicting desires, it's America ruining her own relationship by being a raging, entitled jackass.
Now, that doesn't mean you can't feel sorry for a character screwing himself over-hell, sometimes it can be especially heartbreaking-but that's not how it comes across as meant to be taken so far.
Can I just say if nothing else I love the concept of the extradimensional college, and also the fact that Lunella is a guest lecturer there? Its always nice when she gets props for being the smartest character in the MU.
Is it weird that punching Hitler was the wrong move for America to make? This comic ends up making America prolong World War 2 due to her interfering in the Allies plan. That... probably was not the creator's intention.
Founded by girl geeks and members of the slash fandom, scans_daily strives to provide an atmosphere which is LGBTQ-friendly, anti-racist, anti-ableist, woman-friendly and otherwise discrimination and harassment free.
Bottom line: If slash, feminism or anti-oppressive practice makes you react negatively, scans_daily is probably not for you.
