But seriously, Hawkeyte/Clint Barton was on the news BIGTIME for murdering Bruce Banner so the joke really doesn't hold up.
Remember when the Avengers had Identicards that gave them validity and respect? I do. :(

I mean, he's Clint Barton. I'm pretty sure he HAD an Identicard and then lost it. And then got a new one, only to lose it again almost immediately.

I actually like the idea of the super villain who is sick and tired of getting his ass handed to him and just wants to quit. How many times do you have to lose before you realize that maybe you should be using your talents for some legitimate purpose? not saying it should happen every time, but I think the reformed/retired villain is a good plot device that should be seen more often. That's why I was bummed when I saw Creel as The Hulk's new punching bag.

yeah, It's why I much preferred Sandman in his reformed trying to be a hero days. Sometimes some characters become boring as simply villains.

On another note, did Coates have Black Panther trying to get Thunderball to reform? I seem to recall a scene from the comic in a club where T'Challa and him were having a conversation.

Not sure if hanging around in a psychiatric hospital while using your illusions to create a porno holoprogram counts as a "legitimate purpose".
