That's a very blatant Watchmen homage in the cover.... but it's better than what DC is doing with Watchmen these days.

I really hope The Maker appears in other titles. He'd actually be an interesting X-Men villain, someone who comes from a reality where mutants aren't exactly natural occurrences, more products of experiments. He'd be a fresh take between "mutants are defects from God" or "Mutants were biologically designed to rule the earth".

I love this look for Brock. His normal, clean-shaven look makes him look like a jerk (intentional).

I'm not even a fan of Venom in general, but the shock value for the sake of shock value here literally hurts. It's cheap - as every "cool" twist in every Cates' comics is cheap. That and disregarding previous lore and continuity are the trademarks of the writer and I can't fathom why he is so popular.
