For fuck's sake, how many goddamned children has Killgrave HAD? We're up to 7 now, including the group of kids, and Kara.
And how old is this guy, anyway? With the greying temples, one would assume he was middle-aged, but he sounds a bit younger. And Kara manifested in her teens as a mutant, so... what's the timeline on Killgrave's career at this point? 20+ years?
I dunno, I'm just sick of Killgrave and his ever-expanding army of like-powered offspring.
"You let one of them go, but that's nothing new. Every now and then, a little victim's spared because she smiled, because he's got freckles, because they begged. And that's how you live with yourself. That's how you slaughter millions. Because once in a while, on a whim, if the wind's in the right direction, you happen to be kind.""
I’m kind of bummed Killgrave was brought back this quickly. Bendis gave him a fairly poignant ending.
I do find it hilarious that people were going after Bendis for bringing back Killgrave over a decade since he last encountered Jessica as a sign that Bendis saw little in Jessica and evidence that he should be replaced... well we have a new author and after one arc we have another Purple Man story. *David Tennant voice* “Surprise!”
Like, what if the writer couldn't think of a different villain, and they had to... like... make up an entirely new character, who was utterly unrelated to the previous villains in any way? That would never work.
Except they did, the first arc of Thompson's Jessica Jones had the villain be a brand new character.
And honestly, it's also the case in this arc since Killgrave is just a vegetable and the villain this son of his.
So i think you're jumping the gun here, especially since the first arc already used a different villain. So i have no idea what you are complaining about if you have been keeping up with the book.
Yeah I think the numbering is confusing people. The previous Jessica Jones story (Blind Spot) was the same creative team, so this isn't really a new series.
They did but they still did a Purple Man legacy story three (or six depending on how you view these double-sized things) issues after Bendis tried to give him as definitive ending as possible.
In comparison people here were giving Bendis flack for having him encounter Jessica well over a decade after their last encounter as an example of him lacking creativity in usage of villains.
I feel like Danielle is one of those kids whose never afraid of monsters in the closet or the like, because both her parents are strong enough to snap any would be boogey man like a twig.
Seriously don't get in a "My dad can beat up your dad" argument with Danielle. Your dad will thank you.
Hell, don't challenge her with any family member, she's got super powered uncles to spare.
And since in at least one parallel future she becomes the next Captain America (With the catchphrase "I AM the Shield"), Maybe bullies should just steer clear of her in general.
Who is this Frost he's referring to? EMMA Frost? If so, I'd hate to be in his shoes when she comes looking for payback! Assuming there's anything left after Luke and Jess are finished....

And the villain for this arc is Benjamin, Killgrave is just a vegetable here.

Crazy idea, I know, but I think it could work.
