initially I confused as to why the doppelgangers were just fighting each other, but then I remembered just how bad the art was in that era of the comic.

man, I'm half tempted to go looking for back issues of the complete run of the series, it had SO many crazy ideas in it.
Future Tony Stark sending his tech off into space to keep it out of the hands of evil aliens, only for another race of evil aliens to get it, and base their entire civilization off of who is the best fighter (and who could forget Tazerface?)
a planet of mutants that was ruled by the many times great grand daughter of Wolverine, who carried around one of Logan's broken off claws as a sign of her rule?
Them going to earth and finding that a street gang based off of the Punisher is ruling large sections of the US?
Doctor Doom still alive and well, and wearing Wolverine's skeleton as armor?

This is around when Valentino was leaving the book, so it was co-written by Michael Gallagher (and an Infinity War crossover hence the dopplegangers) and penciled by J.J. Birch.

But yes, PLEASE post more of this series.Especially the early stuff. Remind folks the GotG existed before 2008.
