He's immortal, so that isn't hoping for his death. Not really. Just enough bodily harm for him to wish for it a little bit more than he already is.

I'm heartbroken for this. But at least the poor guy got to go out with dignity. At least his death was about him, rather than about how sad it made the hero.

Yeah. I'm really upset that Spencer went and gave us a heartbreaking story about a D-list villain who dies in such a shitty fashion...

And if anyone ever undoes this, I'll be even more annoyed. Because as much as I hate it when good (or even vaguely useful) characters are killed off, I also hate it when meaningful death scenes are undone by later stories.

I'm also a little peeved at this storyline's body count, but I doubt many of them will matter or stick. Mad Dog? Gazelle? Iguana? Please, most of these have died before, and gotten better anyway through comic book handwaving. Although if this takes the opportunity to kill off the Mandrill and make it stick, I'll be fucking thrilled. He's an awful character.
