Date: 2019-04-19 01:07 am (UTC)YES. Totally okay with this.
Take all the money.
Was kind of interested in Hickman writing X-Men, but if the issues are gonna be that expensive... ehhh... might have to think about it.

Date: 2019-04-19 05:25 am (UTC)Is that... a New Universe/Squadron Supreme mashup? Okay, I like the deep continuity insanity, but will it be any...

Date: 2019-04-20 12:07 am (UTC)(Though, the idea of a 2099 mashup is also intriguing.
It's nice for some non-Spidey aspect of 2099 to get some acknowledgement now and then.)

Date: 2019-04-19 01:40 am (UTC)Hey, they're going to make stories about the actual ferrying? That could be cool! Finally something other than punching criminals! It could deal with mourning, heroism, humanity, like in Valkyrie Profile…
Oh.

Date: 2019-04-19 03:02 am (UTC)I do have a few reservations about it, in that I'm not generally interested in seeing creative teams come back years later to revisit their work, which is the same issue I have with Marvels. On top of that, one of the great things about X-Statix is its prescience about celebrity, and in a world where the concept of celebrity has changed radically since the early 2000s I wonder if Milligan is still going to be on point with his commentary.
Anyway, the new U-Go-Girl is definitely Edie's kid-who-was-raised-thinking-they-were-sisters, right? Like, 80% chance.
Making the Invisible Woman a secret agent is something I've thought about in the past and in terms of giving her a spotlight as a solo hero it's a natural choice, but I'm curious how Waid will handle it. Like, it would feel antithetical to the FF spirit if the Invisible Woman were like, running around black-bagging people and committing war crimes, so how far can they go with the concept?
Aside from that, psyched for Immortal Hulk as always, Secret Warps is weird but I'm sure Ewing can make it sing, and Life Story can only get even more interesting to me as it goes along.

Date: 2019-04-19 04:11 pm (UTC)Though she did help browbeat Ben into going on the mission. Maybe she was as hotheaded as Johnny when she was younger and that burned her to many times and she went to far the other way

Date: 2019-04-19 01:47 pm (UTC)Jane belongs to the unholy trinity of Aaron's pet characters, and I hate how he kills or make other characters look bad in order to push his faves. If he is co-wrting the series, not even Ewing can save that.
Civill War in Spider-Man Life Story could be interesting, since most of the old school heroes will be between 60 and 80 years old. I wonder if it will be more like Waid's Kingdom Come.
Marvel Swimsuit is back! I'm both excited and worried, hoping it could recapture the sexyness and the sillyness of the 90s version.
I'm cautious about Aero and Sword Master, but it should be worth a try.

Instead of, oh, say, hacking his own posthuman (or whatever word they're using this week) biology so it automatically filters out alcohol from his bloodstream?
And follow Jocasta as she decides to go all in for “the ultimate upgrade.”
IS she going to do what High Evolutionary did to Viv Vision, and become FLESH?
