Previously on Avengers: No Road Home: Nyx, the Goddess of Night, having finally reunited the three pieces of her soul, was now headed to the origin of all creation in order to turn plunge all of reality into darkness. The Avengers followed, but only the Vision was able to follow Nyx into the dwelling place of all creation...a house on Long Island.

Meh. Cute, but a bit *too* meta and self-congratulary.

Ordinarily I would agree...but I feel this books earned its happy tribute ending. Especially since its obviously a send off to Stan.

Any comic whose core message is 'Ideas and Inspiration are forever mightier than your Cynicism and Narcissism' is OK in my book and can get a little meta, if it wants.

I had no problem with the meta or the message, I just thought that the villain was quite underwhelming and uninteresting (and this in a book where the characterization for the heroes was generally excellent).

The meta would have been fine but a little too duex ex machina. They didn't build it up at all in previous issues. And they dropped plotlines for Conan, Rocket and others. It would have been better if the meta was followed up by a giant battle like in Avengers Forever 12.

Also, has no one mentioned the return in issue 9 of Gomi and Don?!?! (RIP Bill)

By the way, I saw a blue lobster caught in Nova Scotia after a whale-watching trip a couple of years ago (I miss Bill). [They swore they were going to release it at the end of the whale watching season).

So is the Vision an adapted original Human Torch android again in Marvel Multiverse v8.0? This story would lead me to believe so, but I could swear I've seen Jim Hammond appear in a post-Secret Wars book.
