Can't say that I agree with all of the nominations (Tom King has not had a good year) but I see a few nominees in there that I'm definitely rooting for (Immortal Hulk, Lavender Jack, Zdarsky). Most importantly this spotlights some stuff I hadn't heard of, so that's at least enlightening for me.

David Aja is working as a letterer now? Please, someone tell me why this man isn't doing the art on a high profile comic title?

I just took their comment to mean that his talent is art, rather than lettering.

I think they were wondering why he wasn't getting a nomination as an artist, because he's great at that.

Were they? They just said 'why isn't he doing art', nothing about nominations. Guess we'll have to wait for OP to weigh in haha.

I'm surprised that Vaughan isn't listed for anything. They always seem to nominate him for something.

Let's Play is a great comic, I recommend it highly. MC is a young woman who wants to be a video game programmer, and has a day job at her father's firm (that does something involving web pages and programming but is largely mysterious). Hijinx ensue when the #1 video game streamer / reviewer a) gives her game a bad review (causing his legions of fans to give her game a negative score on the 'steam' store) and b) moves into the apartment next door to her!
To add to the drama, she has just started to notice that the cute guy at the coffee shop has been trying to ask her out on a date for the past year or so, and the guy her father hired to groom her to take over the company is also showing signs of being interested in her!
Thankfully she has the help of her cute dog to keep her sane (mostly).

Gideon Falls just sounds like a fan fiction of a certain Disney show.

I swear, whenever I see someone mention that comic I have to remind myself that that isn't some Gravity Falls spinoff.
