Lois Lane and J. Jonah Jameson.

Lois Lane is the reason that for a long time I wanted to be a reporter. I do believe there are still reporters like this. but they are either silenced, or more prone to being in fiction...

And then McCarthy simply labelled Lois and her colleagues "enemies of the people," while their higher-ups in the media conglomerates instructed them to add more quotes from pro-concentration tender care camp sources to their articles, "for balance."

"her colleagues"

A big part of the problem is that you can count Lois Lane's actual colleagues on one hand. So many of the rest gave up being reporters in favor of being activist and political operators.

I really hope this book addresses that a huge reason its so easy for the current administration to demonize the press is that they have been such bad stewards of public trust for so long.

activist and political operators

bad stewards of public trust

seems like most who the current administration demonizes are accused of not being activist or political enough by people who disagree with the demonizing

I mean, has Rucka ever been subtle in his politics?

It's sad that things have gotten so bad in journalism that this comic reads like a power fantasy.

This was my favourite DC book in YEARS and I think the single best comic that DC published in 2019.

I love everything Greg Rucka does honestly and I think his work is some of the best content DC has ever produced and this series stands out as being one of my favourite things Rucka has written
