It's every bit as good as the hype suggests. Better even. Frontrunner for book of the year by my count. -- Matthew Rosenberg
It’s fantastic. And built to survive a Category 5 hype storm. It’s even better than you hoped. -- Gerry Duggan
The ideas it presents are thought provoking, unique, forward thinking and set the stage for a new X-Men era. From a storytelling perspective I am jealous and in awe of Jonathan Hickman and Pepe Larraz’ use of the comics language. A seriously brilliant debut. -- Lonnie Nadler
The stuff that makes me nervous about House of X is also what I like about it - It takes risks and does weird stuff. It's hard not to fall into patterns with long-running characters. Innovation requires risk. Jon's taking risks. -- Jim Zub
Brilliant, challenging, thoughtful, progressive and NEW. It pushes the mutantkind in a brand new direction. As a fan, I'm more excited than ever. As a creator, I'm in awe of it. -- Zac Thompson
Wow. Hickman's books read like he went into the woods for weeks and charted out a perfect lifetime for a world filled with ideas and emotions. -- Chip Zdarsky
The stuff [Hickman] has planned for X-Men, it really shakes things up. The first time he told it to me, I was upset. I was like, we can't do that. We can't do that. The more I thought about it, the more I went, wait, hang on, what if we did? -- X-Men Senior Editor Jordan D. White

Date: 2019-08-06 09:38 pm (UTC)Is the X-Men's position really that mutants are allowed to murder humans at will? If so, I'm with Orchis.
(But yes, I realize these are meant as indications that Something Is Wrong with creepy faceless Xavier)

Date: 2019-08-07 12:50 am (UTC)Chuck's absence from the list doesn't bother me nearly as much as the Nates (Cable and X-Man)
The whole Omega thing still seems pretty arbitrary. Iceman is a GOD when he tries (which is almost never) but Magneto is all about expanding his powers through training and experimentation but he still occasionally runs up against a ceiling.

Date: 2019-08-07 02:08 am (UTC)Telekinesis -- she's limited in. It's sort of like Emma's Diamond mutation. Secondary. The key is where are the limitations. And what requires augmentation -- in regards to Hickman's definition.
