I mean, it’s not like we didn’t see this coming. And it’s entirely on brand for the Runaways.

But just once it would be nice for them to run into a genuinely helpful and well meaning adult.

I really don't like this arc for a host of reasons.

First and foremost, it was established in the first Runaways series that LA didn't really have any long term heroes. Doc Justice and his team of cannon fodder fly in the face of that.

Second, Gert's position about not being crimefighters is odd, give that she was the one who was so gung-ho about getting the band back together. Together for what, exactly?

Third, it just strikes me as wrong that Doc would be getting kids killed constantly, and no one, not the Runaways, Avengers or anyone else, seems to bat an eye. Not all retcons ca smoothly fit into canon, but this is a thing that tears it, IMO

My biggest issue is how the Runaways wouldn't have even heard of these teams,when the whole point seems to be to get them some popularity and then make a profit based on their memorabilia.
