You know, the backstory of Ultimate Nick Fury is a version of this where he is implied to be Isaiah Bradley (Serum making him functionally immortal).
If MCU version had this part, I think his “grandfather as elevator attendant” might have been a different meaning (implication that he was the elevator attendant).
