I did love the "Gordon's always known" bit and that dynamic of him and Jason is interesting.

A minor nitpick, but how would Jim know Cass' ID? She's never had a civilian connection to Bruce (sigh).

I mean, Cass did hang around Barbara a lot. It's not unreasonable that Jim would have met her through that connection.

Also, DCeased is one of those elseworlds that kinda fudges history into whatever shape it wants. For instance I don't think Cass as Batgirl ever coexisted with Jason as a Red Hood on good enough terms with Bruce to wear a bat on his chest. So it's entirely possible that in this version Cass did have some public connection to Bruce that Jim would know about.

Seeing as she's wearing her pre-Flashpoint Batgirl costume, maybe we can assume this universe is similar to the pre-Flashpoint DCU, including when Bruce legally adopted Cass.

I mixed on this series I love Cass but despise Jason as a character.

Man, I do not like those faces. Kind of like if Frank Quitely broke his main sketching hand and was practicing with the other one on a potato.

But I do sort of like "Oh fuck, Wonder Woman's a zombie." being Vandal Savage's last words.

On the one hand, total zombie apocalypse led by undead Wonder Woman.

On the other, she's just torn Vandal Savage in half.
So there are some upsides.
(You know at least one of the people there was glad they didn't have to hear any more of his "I was Julius Caesar and Napoleon and Hannibal!" nonsense.)

The interaction between Shiva and Cass went about as well as could be expected, really.

The art in this spin-off could be better, but I think what elevated this was humanizing the villains in the second issue with the kids. Really added a bit of warmth that it quickly took away by issue's end - and given that a second "DCeased" is coming, makes you wonder who survives this alive.

yeah it was fucked up... but i mean if anyone deserves it, and if anyone deserves to drive the car it's Jason (next to barbara), then it's the joker.
