Trust Al Ewing to be the writer to finally address the fact that the Moondragon and Phyla-Vel are alternate universe version who have just kind of ingratiated themselves in the 616.

For most writers, just having a character previously assumed dead just showing up not dead would be sheer writer laziness ("I want Character X, but they're dead? Well now they're not dead!")

But since this is Ewing... there's probably something sinister going on.
(Though the solicit stating Real Moondragon and Fake Moondragon are going to fight one another helps.)

Moondragon of 616 was never dead, the writer who said as much was simply misinformed.

...though I'm certain she's headed to a bad fate just to clear the way for her counterpart :(

What issues were this established? I'm curious about an Ace Rimmer Verse. ("What a guy!")

They've been mentioning New Phyla and Moondragon have been from the "Super-Hero Universe" for the last three issues (dunno about the previous volume, didn't read much of it...)

And the Aceverse kind of got eaten by the Incredibly Generic Devondra back in Infinity Wars. New Phyla and Moondragon just escaped into the regular universe.
