The writing here gets too on-the-nose at times, especially in the first-person thought balloons ("I only play sports at recess to be popular!") and third-person narrative captions ("She doesn't have any ulterior motives," "However, she didn't have any ill intent"). That said, I like the scene where it's boys who take the "stop ruining our wholesome talk, about who we think is cutest, by making it all about sex" role, while it's the girl who responds with "go on, you prudes, that'll just make me hornier." Also cute is the bit at the end with Kanzaki and Kawashima trying to be Amamiya and failing at it.
The "narrator explaining the conclusion" seems to be a running gag in a lot of manga (and sometimes anime) I know several comics who basically end *every chapter* with such a little explanatory vignette of something that was obvious from the text.
Founded by girl geeks and members of the slash fandom, scans_daily strives to provide an atmosphere which is LGBTQ-friendly, anti-racist, anti-ableist, woman-friendly and otherwise discrimination and harassment free.
Bottom line: If slash, feminism or anti-oppressive practice makes you react negatively, scans_daily is probably not for you.
