(Ah, the more innocent age of Slighty Under Two Decades Ago, when this was just sci-fi technobabble that would never happen.)

You really have to admire SHIELD's dedication - knowing they're up against someone with magnetic powers, they still try shooting him with guns, and sending two of their heaviest hitters with metal weapons.
Sometimes, watching Ultimate SHIELD at work it's amazing that universe lasted as long as it did...

It's fascinating just how generically boring Ultimate Magneto is.

so is the entire Ultimate universe built around the question, "What if we took all the characters you loved from the Marvel universe, and made them even bigger assholes than they already are?" or is that just Mark Millar's writing?

Well, not Ultimate Spider-Man. Mostly. Except when he interacts with the rest of the Ultimate Universe. And Flash Thompson, I guess.

funny you mentioned Flash, the Ultimate version didn't have any of the redeeming qualities that the 616 does like being a number fan of Spidey and sticking up for him when no one does. Reading Ultimate Spider-man 200 or so issues i seen Flash interacted with Spidey once and it was not a friendly encounter from Flash side.

Yes- what I meant to say there, and I misphrased it slightly, was that Flash Thompson was the exception to Ultimate Spiderman not being all about everyone being bigger assholes.
