I like it. There's a similar parody, Dead to Rights, by Jim Huger. In it, Chick comes face to face with God, who tells him the path to God isn't through fear and hate, but through nature, "joy and fellowship," and treating others the way you'd want to be treated. As for Chick's ultimate fate... read it and see!

I am only aware of this man through some reviews I saw on YouTube and...yikes. For someone who claimed to be a man of God, his stories had no positive moral message whatsoever.

And yes, speaking from experience, growing up around religious fundamentalists is no fun. And they DO latch on to people like that to justify their behaviour People like Jack Chick make the world a worse place, and the saddest thing is they rarely if ever realise they've even done anything wrong.

Oh wow, I completely missed that Jack Chick had died. Best news of 2016!

I'll say what I will say when I heard the news.

I am of the belief that each person should try and make the world a better place than they left it. Or at least not make it any worse. Jack Chick made the world a worse place by his presence. He poisoned the minds of innocent people with hate and ignorance, and perverted the teachings of Christianity to do it. I am of the opinion that the commandment of "Thous shalt not take the lords name in vain" directly refers to assholes like Chick. And if there is any justice in the world, then Chick is currently experiencing the same sort of afterlife he expected for so many characters in his comics. (Yes that might be a bit petty of me, hypocritical even. But you know what? four years of Trumps bullshit has eroded my compassion for the jack Chicks of the world).

It really hurts my heart to see what people do in the name of "Christianity" or "morals". I have people like this in my family (not as bad but still similar). Opening someone's eyes to what they do not want to see can be an impossible task. I pray for all the people Jack Chick reached with his comic strips and drawings. May their lives, hearts and minds be freed from the shackles he placed around them and the wounds he inflicted be healed.

I'm assuming that's Earth-1 Prince who died earlier in life...otherwise he might be a bit more sympathetic to the Chickster.

I... wasn’t the biggest fan of Jack Chick’s work (to put things very lightly), but doing the same thing he did doesn’t really solve anything beyond providing mean-spirited catharsis.
