In the comic series top 10 (Which takes place in a futuristic city where everyone has super powers) there is a minor character who is a hostage negotiator with Purple Man style mind control powers.

I always felt like that would be a good career option for Kara.

One of my favorite things about this was how certain people were trying to suggest Bendis doing a second Purple Man story was proof he should be replaced because it shows how little he saw in Jessica Jones (or something?)... and then the new writer does a Purple Man-related story after three issues.

Overall this arc wasn't *bad* but it was a little frustrating how they couldn't even wait a full year before undoing Bendis's story and they could have easily done the story without that. Also the little jab at Bendis's writing here also misses the point of what he was doing but whatever.

According to Kelly Thompson she found out that her book was about to be cancelled and this was her only chance in writing a story involving Jessica and the Purple Man together. (she was planning on writing this story MUCH later on)
