So - in the realm of happy stupid light stuff I recently found a manga that Viz is hosting online that has brought me so much joy. Sorry if this post is crap I haven't done a post in a long time, and working from what images I can glean from Viz's site.
SpyxFamily - The tale of a spy - psychic kid, assassin and precog dog.

In this unspecified time in totally not East/West Germany setting we have Twilight. A man devoted to ensuring peace in any way possible.

He's a spy, man of a hundred faces, no real name, no known family relations. Until he is given a mission.

He's supposed to investigate and make contact with a reclusive government official who is notoriously reclusive. The man only makes appearances at events at his kids very elite private school. So Twilight needs to have a kid attend the school and get into the honors levels so they can rub elbows with the official. Considering the deadline in place we end up in a shady orphanage that asks no questions and keeps no paperwork. This introduces us to the next family member Anya.

Anya can read minds. And knows enough to not tell anyone. She also is bored, lonely and loves a cartoon called SpyWars. So being adopted by a spy is a dream placement for her. She's also probably not six years old, she lied to get adopted. This causes a bit of problems later. But she gets through the application test and now the whole mission is smooth sailing. Right?
Ostania - the country Twilight is infiltrating has some really traditional/strict standards. Before anyone questions the convenience of this plot - the manga-ka's got you covered.

So the next member of the family is Yor. She's a single woman who works in the City Hall, a bit of a ditz and the brunt of office teasing. And more mention of Ostania's society issues.

After societal and family pressure she makes up a boyfriend. And now needs to produce said boyfriend. She has an added reason for wanting to avoid notice. You see...she has a side hustle.

So all the players are introduced. With some help from a bored kid.

Plots are hatched - and stories established.

Hijinx - as they say. Ensue.
If anyone is into this - the first few chapters are available for free on Viz's site.

*And by just started, I mean since this post prompted to me to try it. Thank you for the recommendation - this series is adorable.
