Well, I dig the spirit, but I won't be going to Abnett for songwriting advice any time soon. I've rarely seen such dreadful scansion.

If you want comic-book songs written, it's Pat Mills or nothing!

Or Alan Moore, who gave us "The Vicious Cabaret" in "V for Vendetta", any number of background music in the likes of "Top 10" and, of course, Sinister Ducks (which is nothing to do with comics, I just like to be reminded it's around.

There's also "I Go Looney" from "The Killing Joke", but despite Mark Hamill singing his heart out, that's nothing like the tune I was hearing in my head as I read the issue (It seemed much more up tempo, madcap and "looney tunes" in style than this)

Actually, scansion issues aside, my first thought on reading this sequence was that if I didn't know otherwise, I'd swear it was Moore writing. Though more latter-day Moore than him in his eighties prime.

Also, have to ask in a Mod-ly capacity, is this 1/3 of the Lawless story in the issue, or more?
