Hazbin Hotel is a multimedia project of Vivienne Medrano, whose plot is best described by the author: "Hazbin Hotel is the story of Charlie, the princess of Hell, as she pursues her seemingly impossible goal of rehabilitating demons to peacefully reduce overpopulation in her kingdom. She opens a hotel in hopes that patients will be "checking out" into Heaven. While most of Hell mocks her goal, her devoted partner Vaggie, and their first test subject, adult film-star Angel Dust, stick by her side. When a powerful entity known as the "Radio Demon" reaches out to Charlie to assist in her endeavors, her crazy dream is given a chance to become a reality."
The prequel comic recounts how Charlie and relictant Vaggie recruited Angel Dust. Please note that the comic vulgar, with politically incorrect (and rather immature) humor.

Interesting! I'd seen the name around, but somehow I'd got the idea that Hazbin Hotel was a video game. A musical web series about demons in hell sounds like exactly the sort of media I should consume!

Honestly most of the reactions I've seen to this have been pretty negative (as if everyone has a DreamWorks budget) so I'm glad someone else likes it. I really appreciate how expressive some of the characters are in the cartoon.

Trust me, you're just looking at the wrong places. There's a reason the music video got nearly 14 million views in about a week.

I'm liking Hazbin Hotel so far, but I keep expecting it to finally gross me out too much to keep watching. The dark humor in Hazbin Hotel is still something I can enjoy, but the other series by the same writer, Helluva Boss, quickly turned me off with dead baby jokes.
