The logo for this series is unsettingly reminiscent of the one used for the Marvel 2-parter of the same name from 1998, written by Dan Abnett.

Not identical, but... close enough thematically to make me do a double-take.

This is apparently set in Britain (judging by the locations and the use of the term "Oi") but everything about the art feels VERY American

(The policeman in a blue shirt being the one that just leaps off the page at me, British police wear white shirts and don't, AFAIK, wear badges on their chests, even in 1980)

I was wondering about that, but hadn't spent enough time with British police to say for sure. And I'm pretty sure you're right about it being in Britain, because it's referencing a specific UFO sighting.

Granted, it's one that took place right next to a US Air Force base, so the tank boys up there may well be American, but that doesn't explain the Suffolk Constabulary.

Yeah, Rendlesham Forest is in Suffolk (And for those interested, details of the UFO sighting) , and the cars are right hand drive, so they've given it some thought, just not... all of it.
