Time for some slashy out-of-context Archie!

...What's that? You do want context?
From Archie Vol. 1 #86 (May-June 1957). Script: unknown. Pencils: Bill Vigoda. 1.67 of 5 pages.
Reggie, as is his wont, tries asking Midge on a date. Moose happens by and beats him up, as is his wont. A bemused Archie, helping Reg down from the tree where Moose tossed him, tells him he just needs to know how to handle "the big ape." Reggie scoffs at this and offers a challenge: if Archie can ask Midge out and get away with it, Reggie will pay for the date. They shake on it, whereupon Arch heads for his neighbourhood tailor and borrows a mannequin arm. Returning home, he enlists his mom's help, cleverly saying it's to teach Moose a lesson about controlling his temper before he seriously hurts someone.

Archie puts on the jacket and heads for the Chock'lit Shoppe, where he finds Midge.

"Affliction?" A strange thing for Midge to call her boyfriend. Unless she has a different understanding of the relationship than Moose does. Which would explain a lot. Anyway...
Archie tells Midge not to worry, and they agree he'll pick her up at eight. Moose, of course, immediately turns up to confront him. But Archie says, "So what?! It's about time you learned you don't own her!" Moose moves toward him.

Moose, noting the arm is "stiff as a board" and fearing "rigor mortis," bursts into tears and rushes with the limb straight to Archie's house. Archie's mom meets the still-bawling Moose outside and takes the arm, saying the doctor's inside. Fifteen minutes later, out comes Arch, intact and cheerful.
