In the beginning of this issue. We found out that Ms. Leone and Dr. Glory from the hidden mafia are from earth 3 and came to Earth prime many years ago.
Ms. Leone decides to use the Mafia’s emergency final option contingency plan to take care of the super-family.
Yeah, but if people already went nuts over things like Bendis doing a "why does it look like Lois Lane, who has an evil alternate reality version that appeared like five issues ago, has gone EVIL" cover, imagine what this is gonna do.
Ordinarily, I would say that a writer wouldn't bring a character back from non-existence then kill them just a year later, but with Bendis, it could be a toss-up. (Remember that hot minute he was super in to Noh-Varr, then got bored of him? okay, he didn't kill him, but he's not above throwing out a character because of lost interest.)
There was an issue of Astro City, Long Ago, which had a story about a lawyer trying to prove a man innocent of murder, eventually resorting to "well, maybe it was his double from an evil alternate universe!" Can't imagine there isn't something similar in the DCverse. (you'd think that at least would be easy enough to prove. Unless Lois just thinks Good Leone is lying to cover her ass.)
... is it anyone else, or is Bendis's dialogue a little off here?
