Oddly, the most offputting thing about the design when I just look at it, apart from the tendency to improbably designed boobs, is the red spot on her nose.
More often than not it looks more like a pimple than a deliberate make -up choice.
But I'm not a big fan of the clown aesthetic, so I might be biased.
All of which makes me want to think that she's meant to be gesturing to Punch and Judy shows, which would make a certain amount of sense given Punch's habit of upturning the social order and the "Tear it all down," ethos Punchline seems to see in the Joker, but I feel like she should be speaking through a swazzle or wielding a slapstick, or at least wearing a hat.
Is there some kind of editorial mandate that her boobs have to look ridiculous? It seems unlikely that literally every artist doesn't know how fabric works.
