Mr. mxyzptlk and Bat-mite have the usual heated argument about who would win between Superman and Batman. They each tell their own version of how it would happen.







Superman get hit by a Kryptonite lightning bolt. As Superman is dazed.

The statues of Lara-el and Joe-el attacked Batman.




Mr Mxyzptlk then controls Superman and flys Batman into the sun.






Bat-mite and Mr. mxyzptlk zoom out to disappear and return reality back to normal.

This is my second favorite answer to who would win that fight after Snyder's take.

However, I will freely admit that I laughed so hard when Batman activated the anti-Superman program inside the Fortress of Solitude. Just Clark's expression at that point is pure gold. I also love that even at the end when Batman brushes off the possibility that he would have hacked the Fortress of Solitude, it still feels like something Bruce totally would have done.

Bruce leaning into the bs of his own internet mythos while not actually by it himself is one of my favorite things.

This was fun.

On the one hand I'm annoyed at the suggestion Bruce would be capable of even remotely comprehending Kryptonian technology let alone hacking it

On the other hand I do like that this story ends with the "That's stupid why would we even be fighting" bit in answer to the "Who would win, Batman or Superman?" fanboy arguement

I notice that Batman didn't actually deny that he'd programmed a fail safe against Supes inside the Fortress of Solitude. He just changed the subject.

Not only did he change the subject, he just calmly points out how they need to figure out a way to go and fight a couple of gods.

A story in a book that's a team-up title between characters who have their own ongoings where the conflict turns out to be arbitrary play with toys.

Almost, but not quite, on the nose.

I wouldn't have recognised this as Eaglesham at all. It all looks very different to his usual style.

Are you sure that the bits with Bat Mite aren't Clayton Henry's pencils?
