It’s about the ways that superheroes and the stories around them can become lifelines. If I’m going to be really sappy about it (which I absolutely am), I get to give one of my favorite heroes the same kind of touchstone he’s been to me over the years. I’d say it’s a dream come true, but given that I’m the kind of uptight overachiever who overidentifies with Scott Summers in the first place, maybe also a bit of an anxiety dream come true. -- Jay Edidin

How much of this is Busiek's work and how much is Edidin's?

Edison is the sole writer, Busiek is essentially a hands-on editor for these books.

Edidin rather than Edison, and you should add him as the creator, not Busiek, we don't normally credit editors.

I loved this issue so much. It was really cool seeing this take on seeds being planted in Scott when he was young about being a hero. I know some people have complained this is a minor retcon to Scott's backstory, but I really like it.
