Am interested in takes on Vader/Palpatine working together.

There's a great book, Lords of the Sith, set about ten years after ROTS where their shuttle crashes on a moon. Palpatine is almost goading Vader "this is your best chance to strike me down" and Vader replying "no. I still have more to learn so I need you alive...for now."

Plus a great bit of Vader defending remembering his past. "You think it's because I miss it. I don't. I remember it to remember how weak I was and how the Dark Side showed me the true power." When clearly, his words have a different meaning.

I wish that book had been just about Vader and Palpatine. It felt like 2/3 of the book was about the rebels who orchestrated the attack and I couldn’t care less about them.
