Foolish Kindred. Making Peter feel responsible isn't the act of some diabolical arch-villain. He feels guilty if someone he knows stubs their toe.
... so, George and Gwen's corpses still have hair, but Jean, Marla and Flash don't? Kindred just went and bought some wigs from a shop, didn't he? And apparently couldn't be bothered getting ones for all of them.
And, er, Dr. Kafka comes highly recommended? By who, exactly? Then again, given she shares a profession with luminaries such as Karla Sofen, Len Samson, and that shrink Rachel Grey saw for five minutes... yeah, probably not a lot of competition. Still, worrying.
The skeletons genuinely come off as goofy rather than creepy here: it's such a played out trope and the fact that they've all been reduced to skeletons but some of them still have lustrous hair only adds to that.
Well, the flashbacks to his childhood don't really amount to an upbringing that's beneficial to one's mental health. And he did scam Stromm even before he took the formula.
So, not a nice guy but the formula did make him very much worse.
The Ben page gave me a stroke, Peter always calls him uncle Ben and there was a spider right on the forehead, for a moment I thought they had killed Ben Reilly again.
I thought it was a bullet hole, meaning Ben Parker was shot dead-square in the forehead. Which isn't usually how his death his shown, when it is shown. Amazing Spider-Man #200 is the only example I can think of.
For a moment I also wondered whether the "Ben" thing was indeed willing ambiguity on Spencer's part, but with all due credit, he is most often not that subtle.
Of course, the whole setup does fit Kindred's modus operandi and their penchant for seeking a vulnerable angle to exploit. It's the staging that matters, the effect this will have on Peter. For all we know, these might be other people's remains he dug up and dressed as loved ones (it would explain Flash and the likely use of wigs).

Yeah, he should be a tad fleshy-er.
