... Gonna skip the weary exasperation about Patsy being killed so Tony can blame himself for it. Instead:
Even being a god feels like slumming it for Korvac. This was a guy who stole the power of freaking Galactus to rearrange reality and could kill the Avengers and Guardians like he was blinking. Now he's hassling Iron Man? What did the Enclave do to him? (... on the plus side, the beard's working for him. And he's choosing to wear clothes for once.)
I doubt she's really dead. At this point, I assume she'll get back up, quip about having nine lives or "Daimon won't let me die, the jerk" and kick some ass.
I've never thought that social issues have no place in comics. But I've always thought that the execution was important.
And here? Wow...
Last issue, they threw Cardiac under the bus, so that Patsy could lecture Tony about privilege after he broke his arm saving the lives of the people Cardiac had trapped.
Here, Patsy pulls a 'my trauma is greater than yours', when such a thing really shouldn't be a competition.
And worse of all, they just gloss over how Tony nearly killed a guy for destroying his car.
The art is pretty, sure. But damn, most everything else? Not so much.
Am I supposed to be against Tony these past few issues? There’s no shortage of stuff to criticise, but the points the book makes in these scans don’t really strike me as chief among them.
It's doing a thing, and I'm interested in seeing where it's going.
(There's a lot of " Hey, this is inconsistent with my understanding of the character/the universe they exist in! " points I could gather, but I don't think there's anything interesting to redeem them for.)
I didn't think it was possible for me to despise Tony Stark more than I already did but with each new issue of this comic that comes out I find myself wishing more and more that when that ex girlfriend of his shot him she'd taken some advice from Thanos and aimed for the head

What happened with Patsy is still awful.

I mean, in some cases you bring back classic villains and it's an "Ooooh!" moment, in this case it looks more like a "Hunnnh?" moment
