I don't understand why the parody is of this kind of person. Like drug-addicted aging rocker/roadie and/or biker type dudes are a really dated concept. Most of those people are either dead or way, way older than that.

And doesn't really fit the digs against the alt-right? He needs to be some middle-class sunglasses in car twitter pic type guy.

Also, the last issue Remender name-dropped the Big Lebowski, has he even seen the movie? The Dude is just pure unironic and uncorrupted ex-hippie. And he wasn't the BIG Lebowksi, that was the rich guy in the wheelchair.

I feel like this series is probably inevitably building to a classic Remender twist where it's revealed that his guy's addiction issues and such are actually sad and tragic because of reasons relating to families and fatherhood.
