Well thank goodness they killed off the most interesting member of Miles' supporting cast again. Wouldn't want him sticking around and making things too stimulating for readers, would we? I kid, but I really do think Aaron/Prowler was a great concept; a supervillainous family member who can be by turns a mentor and a genuinely frightening antagonist, that wasn't been served well over the years.

The whole Ultimatum storyline doesn't seem to have been Ahmed's finest work by a long shot, so hopefully with it over he can find his footing again and get back to the highs of something like his run on Black Bolt.

Don't worry he's not dead. There's no body so he's just stranded in the Ultimate universe. Miles even says at one point "I don't know if he's dead or just stuck in another dimension".

But yeah this entire storyline has been a huge waste of potential. Bendis gave us a really interesting character with 616!Miles and Ahmed just wasted him by making him a generic supervillain who wants to turn people into goblins.

I don't know if I'd call 616 Miles interesting. He has facial scarring and is besties with Fisk. That's about it.

I don't know why they keep harking back to Miles' time in the Ultimate verse. It doesn't add anything to his character, being trivia at best

You could reduce any character to a single attribute but I felt Bendis had fleshed him and his relationship with Fisk out enough that he came off like an actual person that you had sympathy for and not some generic gangster thug.

Still, I wonder if Spider-Gwen's version of Arthur Stacy is okay.

Just wanna give special attention to the cover, with all the superheroes coming down on the bad guy from above, and right there with them is Miles' dad with a tracksuit and baseball bat.

It sure is tragic that they killed that character who filled his narrative purpose years ago.

It'd be a real shame if they started giving panel time to the more interesting preexisting character with the same name.
