Youth #4 is the end of the beginning.
Dec. 7th, 2020 09:48 pm#3'd been the beginning of the end - River, seeing his boyfriend Frank making out with Trixy again, had taken angry flight.
Behind him were the bodies of people who'd provoked his temper, and who didn't have his powers.
Elsewhere, Don Thunder from #2 wasn't dead.

Elsewhere, Frank was thinking about the past, when he'd met River the first time and left a party with him.

They found a vantage point.

(River means his mom and bio-dad, not his mom and his step-dad.)

In the night, in the present, River was there again.
" Knew I'd find you here. " said Frank, touching down.
" That predictable, eh? "
" You're a creature of habit. "

River took a drink.

Don Thunder smiled.

Elsewhere, Trixy and Karl saw that the place Frank'd gone to find River at was on the news.
" Shouldn't we go like.. check on them. " wondered Karl.
" Nah. Fuck em. "
" Are you serious? Those are our friends. The fuck is your problem? "

Jan's sense of things activated.

What followed was their battle with Don Thunder and his men.
Three months later, Frank was alive in the morning, by the ocean in California.
" You made it after all. " said Trixy, coming out of the sky.

" How much do you remember about the day? "
That day, Frank'd been down from Don's shot.

River burned.

(That's Don Thunder on fire. Some government guys just keep on coming.)
In the present, Frank lied to Trixy.

" Eventually I stopped. Ended up here.
" Only place where my head feels clear.
" But enough about me. Why'd you come all this way to talk to me? "
She told him what she'd came to - that there were other kids out there. Other youth on whom power'd fallen from the stars.
" We're going to find them. We're going to find them and help them. Prevent what happened to us, from happening to them. "
" Look, Trixy. I don't know how to say this nice, so I'm just going to say it..
" This is a terrible idea. "

Trixy left Frank behind, heading to the truth of her words - the set-up for the sequel.
(There's an upcoming " season two ", as well as a series adaptation out of Amazon Studios.
Pagecount's 12 and a little more than 6/10ths of 38.
Writing's Curt Pires, art's Alex Diotto, colors're Dee Cunniffe, and letters're Micah Myers.)
