Wow, I can't believe they reference the Gray Ghost and that episode of Batman the Brave and the Bold where Harley was cosplaying as a flapper (Yeah I know that's not Harley in the picture but still though its the same style as that episode).
yeah sort of the point. Like it had Harley treat her like she didn't think of her as anything more than one of the other villains. Harley helped brainwash them all right?
No? I said he was being a dick To Harley/Ivy, not that he was being a dick overall. I honestly don't even care about Harley/Ivy that much- it's not the reason I don't buy this comic.
EDIT: Also sorry, my previous comment was wasn't meant to read as rude but I can see that it probably did and that might be why you're being sort of mean now.
Not sure how I'm being mean but I’m sorry for coming off that way. I just don't get the argument. Harlivy probably wasn't even on Murphy's mind when he did the first arc.
Probably it wasn't! Like I don't think he cared about it at all. It's more just that it's weird to see a modern comic not even treat the two as friends. Especially one so heavily influenced by BTAS, since that's where both Ivy and Harley/Ivy came from.
Neo-Joker AKA Harley Quinn II AKA Marian Drews, the woman who secretly replaced Harleen Quinzel when she left the Joker. Basically, she's the Harley who did everything that doesn't fit with Murphy's take on Harley, from dressing provocatively to being too villainous, to having an implicit relationship with Poison Ivy.
If one were feeling charitable they could attribute that to simply timing, I suppose. Good Harley was replaced at one point, so perhaps the moment of the replacement was before Ivy was a love interest.
I haven't read enough of the series to know how charitable that interpretation could be.
People here are taking the worst possible interpretation that isn’t even based off anything in the actual text. The villainous Harley character isn’t even as bad as Harley or Ivy have been in the main universe.
Not that your broader point is necessarily wrong, but I feel it's perhaps worth noting that even in the original depictions, there was always a suggestion that Harley/Ivy wasn't exactly a "healthy" gay relationship, and that Ivy could be just as emotionally manipulative towards Harley as the Joker could, and even abusive in some ways (albeit more psychological than physical).
