Hickman often forgets the power levels of his characters I think. While Illyana did cool here, the whole attack of the Krakonas seem foolish in the extreme.

We've not seen any kind of opposition capable of battlefield to planetary destruction like the X.men have. Amara could just bury the adversaries under a mile of lava. Storm could sweep the battlefield with F5s. Illyana can keep making gateways for a month with Krakoans shooting through them, all opening to the same second. Or deploy her own army of demons. And so on.

Attacking with Krakoan infantery in a place they can die seems a foolish risk.

To be fair they had no idea what they were going to be dealing with, they just knew that one Arrako mutant was able to nearly kill Apocalypse with a single blow...so they were probably like "Better safe than sorry" here

Starting to think the reason Roma's not around is because she got fed up of Sat's new attitude and figured having to put up with her dad all day was somehow the better option.
"My father may have killed me once, but at least he doesn't spend all day moaning about how he's not getting any..."

Also, just to dredge it up again, number of times anyone mentions Rockslide in this issue, or at all since that issue of X-Factor:
Zilch.

Mind, neither Apocalypse or Genesis seem particularly perturbed by the death of their grandson...
(Wasn't expecting any great display of emotion from Apocalypse, but maybe a acknowledgement?)

Or their son, Death. But honestly, given the "survival of the fittest" mantra that family holds, they likely gloss over the defeat of their own with ease.

It's just given how big a deal the stuff beforehand made about how Apocalypse missed his wuv and kids so much, the fact his grandson turned out to be a lying evil shit who killed some of their own probably could've warranted... I dunno, maybe a line or two?

And to be fair Summoner did betray Apocalypse and lead him into a trap. I can't see Apocalypse being too upset about his death. It's also hillariously possible that Wolverine just never told him about it like "Okay I'd thank everyone to be cool and not mention to Blue Man Group over there about how I murdered his grandson in a sword duel this morning"

So, for all the "if you die here, you die for real!" build up... did anyone actually die? Did this event have any long-term consequences beyond removing Apocalypse from the story? Was there a point to any of it?
