I like how even the characters in universe view A vs X as being absolute garbage they never want to repeat which is the most charitable way to look at that worthless trash fire of an event
Given what absolute garbage everyting Jason Aaron has ever written involving the X-men has been I'm glad they're not involved in this pointless event and that he and his absolutely godawful "Writing" isn't being allowed anywhere near the characters
Hey, kids, remember when the Phoenix was cool and interesting? ... That's okay. Many things seemed cooler and interesting forty years ago. Oh, you weren't alive forty years ago? Well, okay, y'see, there was this writer called Chris Claremont and a comic he was writing called "X-Men"...
Starting to think that it should be some sort of official policy at Marvel that before anyone writes another story about the Phoenix, they actually read the Dark Phoenix Saga first. (Or, just spitballing here, don't let Jason Aaron write about the damn thing ever again.)
Could anyone name all namors deep sea crew he has with him here by chance please? Also, not shown here, but there is a character on the final page with an eyball for a head, who's that? XD Please & thank you kindly.
Can't name Namor's crew, but the guy with an eye for a head is The Orb, one of Jason Aaron's favourite characters. (Kind of surprising it's taken him this long to show up, actually.)
What a terrible cover. Redesign your cast in red-and-gold outfits, then surround them in red-and-yellow flames so it's impossible to distinguish them from the background.
