Bruce is distracted by the seemingly impossible return of another figure believed dead: his grandfather Adrian Arkham. He must also comfort his longtime friend, Gotham City mayor Jessica Dent, who is scarred both physically and mentally from her experience with the Riddler, which resulted in the gruesome death of her brother.
But is Harvey back, plotting revenge on a city he proclaims to be guilty?

Dana Tan (a.k.a. Batman Beyond)

Wait, what? That's new to me.

Personally, I'd have gone for Max as the Batman after Terry.

Hang on, is that a Talon in Teen Titans Academy.

Outside of Calvin Rose, who'd be too old for TTA I'd have thought, I wasn't aware there were any Talon's on the side of the angels.

Cool that they're doing a Shilo Norman/Mister Miracle book, though I don't envy it coming after the King/Gerads Mister Miracle book given how much prestige that book has picked up. Also, Fico Ossio is good, but I gotta say that I kind of prefer what I've seen of Valentine De Landro's work in the Future State backups, it's got a great stark, almost David Aja-esque quality to it.

The Milestone relaunch finally happening is great news, though I reiterate my worry that the line is going to end up feeling like a bunch of old dudes who are no long as cutting edge as they once were.

I must have missed this, but is Batman: Earth One literally doing the same trick with its Two-Face that Superman: Earth One did with its Lex Luthor, ie having them being a man and woman pair where the man dies and the woman is set up in the traditionally male role as a twist? Weird to have that happen twice.

I can't believe that the Crime Syndicate book has somehow moved forward with the ugliest modern Owlman costume despite there being multiple better options.

I'm really skeptical about Jo Mullein showing up in a regular Green Lantern book. I suppose it's good that she's sticking around... but I don't think there's anything wrong with a simple standalone series, and I don't have a lot of confidence in Green Lantern. There's been a kind of renaissance for Green Lantern in recent years, with the Legacy book, the (shockingly good) Earth One graphic novels, Far Sector, and Morrison and Sharp running wild with the main title, and I really hope that this new book isn't going to be a return to mediocrity. Like, nothing about the covers seen so far look like anything more than "one standard unit of Green Lantern comics".

I have mixed feelings about the Asian Heritage Month one shot. On one hand, it's nice that something like this exists at all. On the other, the solicitation is cringy as hell, with whoever wrote it treating diverse cultures from Earth's most populated continent as one. The very first sentence mentions a modern Taiwanese drink alongside traditional Cantonese dish. Plus I have a feeling that by Asian the book means East Asian. On the bright side, yay for Milestone! Yay for Keli and Jo in main Green Lantern book! Yay for more Earth One! (Has anyone read the newest Wonder Woman yet?) That said, shouldn’t Yara be about ten in present setting?

I mean, I get the sentiment, but Asian Superhero Celebration? That kind of irks me to lump every Asian superhero under the same umbrella given how vague the term thatself even is.
