I am not feeling a lot of the art (the faces tends to blur into each other) but that last panel with the shadowing and harsh lines is amazing, it reminds me of some of the older newspaper/adventure comics.
I wish, instead of having Jon happily jaunt off with the Legion about 5 minutes after he was returned to his family, they had taken the time to explore the dynamic in the first few scans and had him chafe at being treated like the 10-year-old Clark and Lois remember for a while.
But of course that wouldn't have been as interesting as having him appear as one of a vast crowd of superpowered teenagers in every panel and have most of the dialog directed at him be repetitions of "finish your orientation!" Such a magnum opus of artful storytelling, that.
At least the art in that run was great - Jordie Bellaire colors, Ryan Sook for most of the issues, that jam issue that included pages by Fabio Moon and Mike Allred..
Founded by girl geeks and members of the slash fandom, scans_daily strives to provide an atmosphere which is LGBTQ-friendly, anti-racist, anti-ableist, woman-friendly and otherwise discrimination and harassment free.
Bottom line: If slash, feminism or anti-oppressive practice makes you react negatively, scans_daily is probably not for you.
