When our heroes saved the Muliverse from Perpetua in Dark Nights: Death Metal, everything was put back where it belonged...and we do mean everything. All the damage from all the Crises was undone, and heroes long thought gone returned from whatever exile they had been in. Most of them, at least. Alan Scott, the Green Lantern from the Justice Society of America, has noticed some of his allies are still missing in action, and he’s determined to find them. There are others, though, who would rather remain hidden than explain themselves, like Roy Harper, a.k.a. Arsenal, a man who should be dead but now is not. Plus, what does all this mean for the DCU’s place in the Multiverse? On opposite sides of a dimensional divide, both Barry Allen and President Superman ponder this question. Not to mention the Darkseid of it all! Or a team of Multiversal heroes called Justice Incarnate!

In case anyone was wondering, Crush is doing just fine, actually. Sure, she recently walked away from her classmates at the Roy Harper Titans Academy and effectively quit being a Teen Titan in a blaze of glory. And okay, her relationship with her too-good-to-be-true girlfriend Katie is kind of on the rocks, if you want to get all technical about it. Oh, and she recently found out Lobo’s in space jail, but that’s cool, because he’s the worst. OKAY, maybe Crush has some STUFF, but that doesn’t mean she’s gonna DO anything about it, like actually go to space and confront her dad and all her problems, because everything is FINE.
...Right?

Date: 2021-03-19 05:33 pm (UTC)I might also be buying Infinite Frontier as well I think it seems like a much more enjoyable event than the last one DC did. It's always nice to see the heroes kick Darkseid's rock lord-looking fascist ass
Not thrilled that we're going from Diana adventuring in Valhalla to Diana adventuring in Olympus
I like Diana's rogues gallery and I want to see them getting some love. Circe, Silver Swan, Dr Cyber, Giganta etc....and it seems like that won't happen while she's on this road trip through mythology
Also oh please goddess no
There are few things more likely to make me go "Please anything other than that" from a DC solicit article besides "Garth Ennis writing a Batman story"
The only thing I can think of worse than letting Garth Ennis write Batman is letting Geoff Johns anywhere near Wonder Woman

Date: 2021-03-19 06:19 pm (UTC)I don't know if Tamaki had that on mind while coming up with this, but if you gotta update Lobo, him as a parody of the modern Sad Dad anti-heroes like Joel, Kratos, Rick Grimes ect. is a perfect way to go about it.
Damn it, if Garth Ennis was gonna sell out like that, why couldn't it be for Superman? Come on man, it doesn't even have to star the guy, Bibbo Bibbowski is right there! He's basically Hagen from Hitman if he was a Superman fan! Boom!

Date: 2021-03-19 11:44 pm (UTC)With how DC has acted over the last... ooooh, seventeen years, I honestly wouldn't rule it out.
Making the worst possible choice deliberately out of contrary spite seems totally plausible for them.
