I like to imagine Dormammu tried to gift a Trojan Horse but the Mindless Ones were riding on top of it instead of inside of it because they didn't get the plan.

Between Aaron's Avengers and this (is this also Aaron? No one switches superpowers with another character so it's hard to tell), they're really pushing Mephisto as a Big Bad. I still don't find him particularly threatening or interesting. These scans don't really do him any favors. Without context, it seems like Ghost Rider just hands him the throne back without any scheming on his part?

I agree that as a big bad he is (ironically perhaps) not that great. He works better as a nasty side-guy, who is involved but not the main threat.

I really, really dislike Mephisto as a character.

He's a total shit that never gets what's coming to him, not because the hero's can't do anything but because "status quo is god".

You know he can't win and you know he can't lose so what's even the point?

Well that’s disappointing. Mephisto wasn’t even allowed to be imprisoned for that long, I don’t really get what the difference is with him being king here or not. Why did they just sort of give up? What’s gonna happen to the posse of Ghost Riders now?

As infernal homecomings go, that's about as emotionally affecting as being met at the airport by the golden retriever you raised as a puppy and haven't seen in two years.
