I do kind of love how casually dismissive Babs is about the threat of someone who wants to wipe out all the memories of everyone in Gotham.

I'm personally been a fan of Tynion's run so far, but that part caused me to start laughing.

I mean is his thing that this should be a voluntary process or is he saying he's gonna do it to everyone if they want it or not?

Because if he's just offering to wipe peoples minds if they want a fresh start that's less worrying than if he's just planning to go full Clifford DeVoe on the whole city here

I don't know- if he wants to reboot *all* of Gotham, it seems unlikely that everyone's going to agree. In which case, it's really a question of whether he's going to skip asking for permission, or wait until he's rejected to announce that he'll show them- he'll show them all!

Yeah and this is Gotham. It feels like a safe bet to guess that someone with that goal is always going to choose the worst option.

I mean it depends on if he means "I think everyone in Gotham would be happier if they got their minds rebooted to forget the awful past and I am willing to offer that" or if he means "I know better than everyone that that they must have their minds rebooted and I'm gonna do it to them whether they want it or not"

Though either way I suppose there's also the issue of

Who is safety testing this tech?

What are the side effects?

What kind of after care/support is being offered if someone goes through this?

Who is this guy anyway?

Yeah Oracle should probably be more worried about this

I mean, my bet would be starting with Option A, and unable to handle the fact that not everyone agrees with his awesome and helpful plan to make their lives better, segueing to option B. That seems like the classic mad scientist path.

That would be amusing. Puts me in mind of some of the old-school Silver Age comics where a villain would wander around technically breaking obscure laws like putting pennies in his ears*.

*Actually part of an evil plan, but one with style at least.
