Hey, he earned his doctorate from the University of Latveria! He could've gotten himself an honorary doctorate and nobody would've questioned it, but he went to the trouble of submitting actual Doctoral Theses (multiple) to get it done properly. And to his credit, they were given genuine peer review, although none of the Doctors involved dared to give him a bad review.

But yeah, when Doctor Doom says he's a Doctor, he's got the receipts to prove it!
