This is interesting... I'd be surprised if this wasn't drawn on when creating the Birds of Prey movie, and the ending got me if only because it would never fly with modern Harley.

From the movies, to the comics, to the cartoon, Harley has shifted into a dedicated anti-hero slot, and she'd never intentionally leave the girl hanging in her modern form.
