Jupiter's Legacy Season 1

As of today, the first season of Jupiter's Legacy, the adaptation of Mark Millar's comic, has been released on Netflix. Since I posted the scans of that series, I thought people here might want to talk about it. Did you see it? If you did, what did you think of it? Feel free to discuss.

Haven't checked it yet but buzz is it's way too slow-moving and such. I had hopes as they're often better softening Millar's work but this never really grabbed me.

Haven't watched it but as mazway said it's supposedly really slow. Although to be fair a number of their superhero shows have been slogs. With Daredevil and Jessica Jones my eyes glazed over whenever Kingpin or Killgrave weren't onscreen. I still haven't gotten around to watching their second seasons.

Also I heard it doesn't even get to the part where the father gets killed which occurs three issues in? When I saw the posts I figured this would be their big 'Game of Thrones' moment so it's a bit surprising.

I'm 4 episodes in and I'm really enjoying it. maybe the overarching plot is a slow burn but the relationships developed and inform the viewer as it progresses and I'm personally entertained.

Seen episode 1. I feel they have changed it to move it in a much more cliched direction, and they've tried to soften it up a lot. Both mistakes in my opinion.

Boy howdy, I can feel Millar's hand in the show. He has a real "morality is for chumps" bone to pick with the superhero genre and it shows. (See also "Kick Ass", etc.) I found the strawman "the Code" argument a little tired. "Stand around helplessly while you are murdered by inches rather than apply lethal force or you are as bad as the villains," is a standard that never existed in the first place and it's a really boring way to justify XTreem Edgelordism.
